I.  Q & A

Q.  What is the best class for a cleric?

A.  In my opinion, a dreg cleric used to be the best class, but since class

doesnt matter anymore because stat points don't matter when you put them on,

make any class that you think looks the coolest.

Q.  What kind of weapons can clerics use?

A.  Clerics, unlike wizards and warlocks, can use blunt weapons as well as

staffs.  Clerics can not use swords, daggers, or the mystic blade.

Q.  What skills should I put my points on?

A.  If I were you, I'd save up my points until level 11 and 12 and put them

all on Resist Lightning and Resist Magic.

Q.  How come when I PK I loose mana?

A.  Clerics are a holy class.  They shouldnt be made for PKing unless it is

absolutely necessary.  When clerics become evil they loose more then half of

their Mana points and it makes it very hard to become good again.

II.  Stats

The most important part in building a character is the stats.  The starting

stats should be as follows.

Level 1

15 10 18 16 16

>From here you should start hunting rogues and giant bugs to gain experience.

Use battle scrolls while hunting to raise your read level.  When your read

level increases start using more powerful scrolls such as vis baritus

scrolls.  By the time your read level reaches 21 you should be level 3 and

your stats should be...

Level 3

17 10 18 16 16

Raise strength 2 level because you want to raise your strength to 22 to wear

a mystic plate at level 18.  And because it does not matter when you put

stats on, it will be easier to hunt using melee rather than using magic.

From here you want to get all shrines and great hall...your stats should

read...

Level 3

19 12 20 18 18

You should start hunting the harder rogues, trolls, archers, thieves, and

giant bugs.  You should hunt these creatures until level 5 and your stats

should read...

Level 5

21 12 20 18 18

Now you can start hunting skeletons in the Terthius or Semel Graveyard.

I recommend the Semel graveyard because not many people hunt there because

there is no merchant to teleport there so youd have to walk...If you look on

the map its the Top Left town.  You should hunt these creatures until level

9.

Level 9

22 12 23 18 18

Now you can start hunting East dungeon.  You want to wear atleast 1 ring

of contravenum due to the Giant Spiders poison.  The monsters here are hell

hounds, volucris, skeletons, and calvaria, and sometimes ROG.  You should

hunt here until level 12.

Level 12

22 12 23 20 19

Great!  Now you can add your skill points to resist magic and

lightning, this will make hunting master warlocks and super warlocks easier,

but still a difficult task to achieve.  At level 12 your can start hunting

in Dungeon server.  There are multiple spots you can hunt at.  I recommend

the Archer room and the Ogre Spot for quick EXP.  You should hunt here until

level 14.

Level 14

22 12 23 22 19

You want to get Intelligence to 25 stat points so you can wear the Ominex

staff.  This staff has very fast regen mana, and has the ability to steal

HP.  In my opinion it is one of the best staffs.  Now with the proper gear,

and proper potions.  You can start hunting the calvaria pit.  This is risky

for you 56k modem users.  If you lag out/run out of mana, you can fall to

your doom and automatically loose exp.  I only recommend this if you are

skilled player.  In calvaria pit you can level there until level 22 and even

after that, but at 22 there are better places you can hunt!

Level 22

22 12 25 25 22

From here on out I recommend adding to Wisdom just due to the fact that

clerics mana and spell strength is based on wisdom.  I hope the stat list

helped you on building your cleric!

III.  Spells

Clerics are a great class because the spells the achieve help them to

hunt well, and get away fast if you need to!  At level 1 clerics usually

start out with Minor Mederi and Minor Sanatio which are good for healing

during battle.

The spells that make a cleric a cleric are...

Adgredi Animus (Red Beam)

Fulgur (Lightning)

Magnus Almus

Mederi

These are the spells you will be using the most.

Adgredi Animus is the best spell for hunting.  It increases in strength

as you level up.  It also hits more enemies at one time as you level up.

Fulgur is the best spell for self defense and PVP.  It also increases in

strength as you level up.  This is by far the best attack spell that clerics

achieve.

Magnus almus is the best self defense spell that clerics recieve.  When

you cast it on yourself it takes 1,300 exp and has a 50% chance of working.

Before you cast this on yourself say the words "-almus" or else it will not

work.  When you cast the spell go to the cleric shrine (South South East of

Scelest(PK town)) and if it seems that you are being "Charged up" then that

means the spell worked!  What the spell does is, When you should have died

you will automatically be given full hp and full mana.  But when this

happens you will need to recast the spell.

Clerics get the strongest mederi spell because they are a Holy class.

They can revive another player who has died.  They have the strongest mederi

that can help when in battle.

IV.  Conclusion

That concludes my Cleric FAQ.  I hope that reading this has furthered

your knowledge on building a cleric.  Have fun with your great built

character!
