Darkwar Building System
Stat System
There are two different styles that seem to work well. If you plan
on using your Darkwar for PvP then go with the PvP stat system. If you would
rather use it just to hunt, then go with the Hunting stat system.
PVP Stats:
Level 1: Elf Darkwar, 16 18 16 12 13
Darkwars need the agility for lethal and good to-hit and
to-defends, and strength for more damage all around. Constitution will help for
some basic HP but too much of it is a waste when you can get more HP through strength.
Place points on the following and try to get shrines somewhere
along the way to level 20:
Level 2: +1 cons
Level 3: +1 cons
Level 4: +1 cons
Level 5: +1 cons
You now have 20 constitution without including shrines and this is
all most darkwars (especially PvP darkwars) will need.
Level 6: +1 str
Level 7: +1 str
Level 8: +1 str
Level 9: +1 agil
From here on, simply alternate strength and agility to get high
lethal (based on agility) and high damages even when lethal doesn’t kick in.
Sometime before level 20 get all shrines and GH. Regular shrines are pretty
easy to get, but GH costs a little more. If you do the white potion quest with
Enasha, you will get 3 white potions. Hold onto them until you get GH or you
will regret it later. If for some reason you lose your white potions, you can
buy then for about 50k apiece from people in T7 or DS. Besides the whites, it
usually costs a Redo for the trip to the shrine itself. So at level 20 after
all shrines and Great Hall, your stats should look like this:
Strength: 25
Agility: 24
Constitution: 22
Intelligence: 14
Wisdom: 15
Hunting Stats:
Leveling Darkwars at the lower levels (from 1 to 18 or so) you are
given a major advantage over the other classes by the fact that Darkwars get
Run Attack at level 3. This makes moving around faster and leveling much
faster, but after level 15 when all of the other fighter-type classes also get
attack run, you will be back to having few advantages and since you never get
spin you will be slower to level. In order to compensate, the Hunting Stat
system uses a higher intelligence to give you more exp per kill as well as
better masteries.
Level 1: Elf Darkwar, 16, 16, 16, 14, 13
At level one this isn’t a huge difference from the PvP stat system
and it won’t give you an increase in experience-per-kill right away, but after
shrines intelligence will be 16 which is an experience bonus and a masteries
bonus. This system also gives your Darkwar more MP so they can charge
themselves easier also making leveling easier.
Level 2: +1 cons
Level 3: +1 cons
Level 4: +1 cons
Level 5: +1 cons
This again gives you the 20 constitution which is all you need.
Level 6: +1 str
Level 7: +1 str
Level 8: +1 str
Level 9: +1 str
This will give you 20 strength (4 more strength than agility).
From here on add agility and strength evenly, keeping strength 4 above agility.
At level 20 with all shrines and Great Hall, your stats will be as follows:
Strength: 27
Agility: 24
Constitution: 22
Intelligence: 16
Wisdom: 15
Skill System:
The main skills that a Darkwar needs are the following:
- Weapon
Specialty – this is the type of weapon you are most likely to be using the
most. With the current item system, short swords are the most popular and
for a few levels, regular swords. Usually a Darkwar will use a rapier for level
1 and 2, a magic rapier for levels 3, 4 and 5, a fire sword for level 6
and 7, a dragon sword for level 8 and 9. At level 10, sum people use an
acid sword or dispell axe as their main weapon and some keep their fire or
dragon sword. By level 12, the most common weapon you will see on Darkwars
is a Blood Rapier (or br for short). This will take them through to level
18 if they have a mystic rapier or 20 if they have a Vitadamere Rapier.
After level 18 you should have a very good idea what kind of weapon you
will want to use, so after that you can figure out what kind of weapon you
want to use. My Darkwars usually put Short Swords skills to 25 and then
put a few points on swords, perhaps maxing it out at a later level. This
covers most of the weapons that you will use.
- Lethal –
lethal is the power of the Darkwar. Keep lethal maxed out at whatever
level you are at and your Darkwar will be in good condition. Lethal gives
a chance of doing double damage on a hit and will make or break a Darkwar.
I’m not sure at this moment what level and/or if Darkwars get Multi
Attack, but if they do this is also based on lethal and is also very
important for a Darkwar. So it basically comes down to keep your lethal
full of skill points.
- Tactics /
Masteries – these increase damage and to-hit/to-defend bonuses and are
also crucial. You get tactics at a fairly low level so fill them up if you
can, but save some points for lethal at level 12. Second to lethal, these
are the most important skills for a Darkwar, so when lethal is full and
you still have points left, put them on tactics and/or masteries.
Gear System
This is a list of the gear a Darkwar can wear up to level 18.
After that you can find your own gear. The numbers in parenthesis are the level
requirement on the gear. The gear with a * is the recommended best type of gear
to wear for that level.

Weapons: - there are so many weapons that the ones included in this list
are only the top options. Darkwars can equip any weapon in the game as long as
they meet the stat and level requirements except for Spirit Wands and Dirus
Wands. The ones in red are my personal recommendations, but it depends mostly
on your personal tastes.

Remember that gear choices also depend on the props of the gear
that you have access to. I wont go into detail about that, but it can make a
difference.
Leveling
Places
These are the places that I would recommend for leveling your
Darkwar up to level 16. After that you can take quite a few places, so look
around and have a higher level come with you to try them out.
Town Guard Training (in any town) (Level 1)
Millie’s Letter Quest (Level 1).
After doing these two quests kill any monster and you will be
level 2.
- DS Rogues
(level 1 to 6) or
- Server
Rogues north of t3 (Level 1-5).
- Level 5+
you can take graveyards if you have good gear. Or hunt the troll camp and
barbarians in DS.
- At level 8
or so, go do the bag quest in Palus and go hunt in the Palus graveyard.
After the quest, go to t3 or t1 graveyard or, if you like Palus graveyard,
hunt there.
- At level 12
you can take East Dungeon fairly easily or the upper areas of Palus
graveyard. If you do, buy a Ring Contra Venenum (RCV) to protect you from
the poisons. This will take you through level 14 / 15 when you can take
ogres.
- The two
ogre locations I would recommend are the new t3 ogres (a while north of
t3. You will go through a smaller ogre camp before you get to the big one)
and East ogres. The lower level of East ogres is accessible from the upper
area by swimming to the center of the pool.
- At level
15, do the 50k exp quest and have a higher level come with to heal you
while you kill Thoran. Then continue hunting ogres until level 16. After
that you can look around for spots yourself.
