Windows 7 users having LAG.

Windows 7 needs to be told to allow older programs to run. I'm not sure where the settings are because I don't have Windows 7 yet.

My mouse stays in the corner of the screen and wont move at all.

This can happen because you need to update your mouse drivers or you need to update the DirectX mouse drivers by reinstalling DirectX.

I get an error message that says "could not create Z-buffer"

Its most likely one of three problems.

1. You do not have a 3D graphics card that supports a Z-buffer. All graphics cards today have Z-buffer support accept for some of the very cheap ones.

2. You are choosing a resolution with SETMODE.EXE that your 3D graphics card can't create a Z-buffer for. In this case just try several different graphics modes.

3. You are a windows 2000 user and need the latest version of DirectX from the microsoft web site. There is a link on my web site to get there.

I get an error "Initialize Dsound" when starting up Xenimus

This happens because you don't have a sound card, or your drivers need to be reinstalled, or it can mean that another program on your computer is using the sound card and wont let Xenimus use it. 

All my letters come out as just white blocks OR spell affects dont show up properly.

Your graphics card does not support some types of graphics. You might try downloading the latest version of DirectX.

If your card is a hercules 3dprophet 4000xt or some similar card you may need to go into the options for the card and tell it to force texture compression.

( WIN 95 Users ) I get a message that says I'm missing the files WS2_32.DLL and WS2HELP.DLL

You need to download the WIN95 upgrade from the microsoft web site. Go to www.microsoft.com and do a search for "windows 95 winsock upgrade" one of the results from the search will be: " Microsoft Windows 95 Windows Sockets 2 Update -- Information & Download". Get this update.

When I start the game up, my computer locks up!

          You need to run SETMODE.EXE

Sometimes my game locks up, I can see what people are doing but I can't move or say anything.

A few people have had this problem. One person reported that buying a new modem fixed the problem.

My characters are missing from the login screen!

Most likely the server is down for an update. Just try again in a few minutes.

I was playing and the game just goes to the screen that says "log off successful"

This means that you didn't do anything for 5 minutes or the server was taken down for an update.
